Tom Lasorda, Vin Scully and former players Carl Erskine, Don Newcombe and Wes Parker will be aboard the Los Angeles Dodgers' first-ever float in the 119th Rose Parade on New Year's Day.
The Los Angeles Dodgers unveiled the design for the popcorn and peanut-adorned float that will incorporate sights and sounds from Dodger Stadium as it rolls along Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena.
The float will include a 35-foot Dodger player coming out of a grand slam swing while fans cheers from the bleachers and stadium organist Nancy Bea Hefley plays.
Like all parade entries, the float will be made by hand with all natural materials.
Also riding the float will be Steve Garvey; current players Nomar Garciaparra and James Loney; 50-year stadium vendor Roger Owens; 58-year employee Billy DeLury; Kathy Robinson Young, niece of Jackie Robinson; Ann Meyers Drysdale, widow of Hall of Fame pitcher Don Drysdale; and Spanish team broadcasters Jaime Jarrin and Fernando Valenzuela.
