JD Drew Los Angeles Dodgers:
JD Drew...wife's name is Sheigh...attended Lowndes County High School in Valdosta, GA...brother Tim, a pitcher, was drafted as a high school senior by Cleveland in the first round of the 1997 draft, making J.D. and Tim the first brother tandem to be selected in the first round of the same draft...JD Drew's other brother, Stephen, was selected in the first round of the June 2004 First-Year Player Draft by Arizona...the Arizona Fall League named JD Drew to its Team of the Decade in 2002...visited White Memorial Hospital and spent time with patients in the Dodgers' Pediatric Playroom on Jan. 26, 2005.
JD Drew in his first season with the Dodgers, batted .286 with 15 homers and 36 RBIs in 72 games, missing more than half the campaign due to injuries...JD Drew 72 games played were a career low, as JD Drew had never before played in less than 100 games in a full big league season...missed just four of the Dodgers' first 70 games when he was diagnosed with chondromalacia in his left knee and missed five games from June 22-26...returned to the lineup for the next six games before being hit by a pitch from Arizona's Brad Halsey on July 3 and suffering a fracture in the ulnar styloid bone of his left wrist, forcing him to miss the remainder of the season.
